I had nothing to cover up to get back to my dorm.

Someone took all my clothes and towels like it was a joke. So I had to run out of the shower stall naked in my communal bathroom and people were everywhere laughing and staring at my nakedness.

Note for those who are going to be using communal bathrooms..... don't get tricked or played like me. Always have a plan B. Unless your plan B is to run naked to your dorm room quickly, I suggest you devise a plan C.

this is something i constantly think about when using communal bathrooms. Where do you put your clothes/towel when you’re showering? i just kind of plop them down near my shower curtain far enough away so they can’t get wet, and close enough so i’ll be able to see if someone takes them.

Why didn’t you just shout out to somebody to go back to your room for you and grab a spare towel or a pair of shorts? If this ever happened to me, I would just wait for somebody else to come in the bathroom (which it sounds like there were plenty around for you) and ask them to maybe go fetch my roommate who would probably help.

They took all my possessions which included my roomkey and the towel and flip flops. So I ended up having to pay for a new room key and I had to return to my dorm and banged on the door to get my roommates to open the door for me.

That was like an additional 10 seconds of people staring at me down the hall.

Haha, sorry, I was reading Baelor’s radical posts and when I came to this thread I forgot to flip my mind to the “most people don’t have trollish ridiculous views” setting. I guess it was pretty obvious, sorry :p

I think someone’s unfortunate financial status or circumstance can justify theft in the scenario where they’re starving so they steal bread to survive.

I understand and could rationalize that type of stealing even if it is against principle.
