Something that makes the application outstanding?

Hi, I'm a junior right now, and I was wondering what kinds of things makes an application outstanding compared to others... I don't have an AMAZING gpa like some of the people in my school but i'm ranked 55 out of 657 which makes me in the top 8.3% and I have normal E.Cs, like basically everyone in the top 10% in my school. I have taken 1 AP sophomore year, 4 this year, and am planning on taking 5-6 next year. I volunteer at the Florida Hospital, and have never worked (but will this summer). My SATs are okay, but I'm taking them again in June and also taking the ACT for the first time in April.

I do 3 sports:
Crosscountry (JV)
Weightlifting (V)
Track

Clubs:
STAND (Students taking action now: Darfur) (1 year)
National Honor Society (1 year)
Spanish Honor Society (3)
Interact (2)
Key Club (1)
Drama Club (1)
Iron Rams Club (2)
Biology Club (3)

I don't think that this could be the best application so I was wondering what I could do more to make it stand out. I've heard summer programs are a good thing- so I am looking around for some good ones in Florida.

So, do you have any advice?
Oh, and I really really really want to go to UF because I want to become an orthodontist, and Florida only has two really good dental schools (UF and Nova), or so I've heard.
Thanks.

write an amazing essay and put a lot of effort into every aspect of your application. I didn't realize just how important this was until it was kind of too late. This is how you stand out--a lot of people have great stats and ECs but it is all in how you present yourself.

Someone on here said this, and I think this is absoloutely true.

"Your numbers will only qualify you for admission, your applications gets you admitted."

gatorgirl pretty much said that too. It's all in how you present yourself.
