Something your parents did that you will do for your kids

This can be related to college or not, but what is something that you feel really helped you or impacted you that you hope to do for your own kids in the future.

I know one thing I am immensely grateful for is the time my parents spent reading with me when I was younger. They would read simple children's books to me when I was very young, and I honestly think that this contributed to development of strong verbal skills.

What things do you all hope to do?

Have a house full of books and no television.

Put their entire college tuition (undergraduate + graduate) in a bank account so I and they don’t have to worry about that in the future.

-Teach them to be a good human being over anything else.
-Give them the opportunities to excel at whatever they choose to do.
-Spend at least 6 hours of quality time with them in a day.

(Asian Parents; Indians, specifically)

Give them room to make their own mistakes :o

-Make education a priority
-Have them learn the value of a dollar
-Support their talents

Tizil, I realized why I thought you were Moroccan. [Tiznit - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Tiznit - Wikipedia)
