Somewhat messed up, right?

Ok so I just got done with scheduling.. a long arduous process for this IB school.

I'm a future major in engineering and computer science, so I know I needed both Computer Science and Physics. They have Physics SL but when I asked to signup for that, they said I had to take Physics SOL(Easy stuff).

So this I find entirely unfair and ludicrous, so my only solution is to take Physics Online.

Thank god this state has Virtual Virginia, where I can take online courses for free.

Hahaha - The naming of this works out perfectly:

You are forced to take Physics SOL? Sounds like you are SOL.

That’s a knee-slapper. I’ll be here all weekend folks.

Why are you even messing around with IB physics? Take AP physics C; real, calculus-based physics.

Stupid school hates AP sciences, so there is no AP physics C. I wish there was, but all they have is online AP physics B. Physics SL is the only one we have.

Is IB physics algebra-based only? Even HL?

If that’s all you have there’s nothing you can do about it.

“Sounds like you are SOL.”
LOL :]

IB Physics SL, It’s like a light calculus, trig-based physics. We don’t even have HL, which they are against having. So yeah… I need to find some good online AP physics C.

allow you too add credits to your GPA, do you know MIT? For example, are elective online course credits added to your in-school course credits? I.e., is it possible to raise your GPA this way and have it counted.

Our school system is beginning IP now in the middle school/younger years. The high students I regularly talk to say they prefer the AP approach but times a changing.

Well in the state I live in, these online courses are just accelerated HS courses. So I would have to take Physics Honors, Spanish IV, and Precalculus.
