Freshman son didnt go to orientation and registered online. How does he get his ID card.

I thought I read somewhere that he has to take passport type photos and mail them in to get his ID?

Does anyone know the exact procedure?

I think you can pick it up when you arrive on campus for move in. You just need some sort of ID. Im not sure if they send IDs through the mail.

but there must be a photo taken for the ID card… .IF he didnt go to orientation ( when the photo would’ve been taken), what is the procedure to get the photo taken and submitted to UCLA so they can make the ID card?

They can take a photo of you on spot in the Bruin card center in Kerchoff Hall.

Click on the “Apply for Card” Link, and you’ll have to login with your ucla credentials.
I think now you can just upload a picture online (or I think you can also a mail in a passport–like photo too), just read the instructions on there. You can pick up the card in front of Kerchoff Hall once you arrive on campus in September.

You can get a camera, and take a picture. At home. And then crop it, and submit it online.
