So the perfect audition song for me is “La La Land”, from Standardized Testing - The Musical. However, at a college master class at Goodspeed last month, the director of UMich’s theatre department told me that it doesn’t count as being from a show if the show was never produced. It was workshopped at Penn State, and produced at Emerson (as well as around a dozen high schools)…but…thoughts? Is it a bad idea for a BoCo audition? I’ve worked with them before at their Musical Theatre Dance Intensive last summer but I need to make a good impression nonetheless.
