I've been going back and forth and searching everywhere for audition songs, and I think I finally found one I'm happy with that will showcase my voice and acting skills pretty sufficiently. It's Spring Cleaning by Chris Miller. The only problem I'm having is that it as written for a concert/cabaret setting, and I'm worried that schools will want something from a published show that has an actual story connected to it. However it was written for musical theatre performers, and was a part of the New, Emerging, Outstanding concert done on Broadway several years ago. I'd love to get several peoples opinion on whether this is an okay song or not!
Thanks for your time!

Some schools specify that a song be from a published play, some do not. You will have to check with each individual school on your audition list to see if the song would be acceptable.
