Only one piece of muic has ever made me cry

Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber.
EDIT: The best preformance of this piece is the Sept 15 2001, by the BBC to honour those who lost their lives on 9/11.

I had tickets to hear it with my grandpa from him as my 15th present, he died two days before we were meant to go. I went anyway (my dad convinced me that he’d want me to go). I didn’t vocally cry but I definately teared up, a lot.

A song has never mad me cry, but that’s because I’m A Boy and Boys Don’t Cry. I also have No Feelings.

But seriously, I’ve always found Billy Joel’s Downeaster “Alexa” rather sad.

“I was a bayman like my father was before
Can’t make a living as a bayman anymore
There ain’t much future for a man who works the sea
But there ain’t no island left for islanders like me”

Delicate - Damien Rice (multiple times)
Nothing Lasts Forever - Brett Dennen (once when I realized what it was about)
Dontchange - Musiq Soulchid (weird day doing a practice Chem AP around 4 in the morning)
