Sadly, I have nothing better to do than write a bad poem about the tragedies of waiting for these decisions... April 1st can't get here soon enough :)

Sonnet to a College Admissions Letter

Im waiting for colleges to send me their mail
I stare out the window all day
Catalogues and bills only cause me to wail
Oh where are my letters? I say

I dream about envelopes writ with collegiate names
And talk whos going where with my friends
Im done playing mind-sucking waiting games
I just want the torture to end!

They say senior year is the best of your life
But Im not quite sure I agree
APs and gas money just add to the strife
That college has heaped upon me

So big gorgeous envelopes please get here fast
My desire for you is unsurpassed!

so, if anyone is wondering.... the sonnet worked!!! Today i got not one but TWO acceptances in the mail!! So if anyone is waiting for their decisions, I suggest poetry to speed it along :)

From my English lit class, that is an English sonnet, and a question is presented in the three quatrains and there is an answer in the couplet at the end.

Work on that iambic pentameter though (Haha. Of course I'm being facetious here. ;-) )
