Sophie Davis BSMD 2019 Applications

Received nothing yet. Has anyone tried calling again? lol. I feel like all we can do at this point is wait it out. It’s not over till it’s over right?

But previous years I don’t think they send it all out on one day

It’s alright, just wait it out. Whole new day tmrw

And @tryhard101 said that her friend got an acceptance today

From 2018 SD talks, all acceptances/altenates received emails on the same day which was 3/30/2018 around 5:00 pm. Not sure who was playing with you saying the acceptance went out, remember today is Sat. Maybe that person did not have the time to check email yesterday, today s/he saw it without checking the date/time stamp on the email.

If you want to hold on to your hope, it is up to you, but the longer you hold the more pain you will have. Good luck all.

From 2017, you can see alternates did not receive emails, also someone got an acceptance on the Monday, it is not over till it’s over, and we just have to wait until then. Stop being a negative Nancy

Calm down guys if you’re feeling worried just hit up the people working at the front desk tmrw morning. I’m sure they could help clear things up.

People are working there on sunday???

Uhh Probably not lmao but if what your friend is true how would they send emails tmrw

I don’t think anyone is in the office is working on the weekends lol. It’s more likely that all the acceptances were sent out on Friday en masse and that there was a server delay for some email programs that may have caused a few people to get their emails late or perhaps it went to their spam and they didn’t find their acceptance email for a few days.

I just don’t want to know that all my doctor shadowing and work went to nothing in the end. It’s just really disheartening. I bawled my eyes out yesterday, so I’m not in any emotional pain but I want an email or letter in my hand to just allow me to close this door already and move on. I have other options but this was my top.

Never give up nothing wrong with taking the traditional route. Plus who knows you may find a love for something else or get into an even better medical school

@tryhard101 All your work definitely did NOT go “to nothing in the end.” Getting rejected from Sophie or any other school doesn’t mean that you can’t still be an amazing physician. Also, if you are still set on Sophie, they accept transfer students who apply with one semester of college credits or less, so if you get great grades at another college and continue to demonstrate your passion and commitment to a career in medicine, you might get accepted the second time around.

I got rejected from all mo other bs/md programs. Sophie was my last hope

@amaraenth

Really ??? Is this true ? I’ve never heard of this before.
I thought Sophie allows transfer for PA only. If you have any info (links) / timeline to apply / requirements/ etc…, please paste it in here, lemme take a look. This will help a lot . Many thanks

@SD2026 It says “Transfer students who have completed no more than one semester of college credits are eligible to apply. (NOTE: College credits earned prior to high school graduation are not counted for this purpose.) If you have completed college courses for which you wish to be considered for credit, you must submit a copy of the official college transcript with your application.” on this page: https://www.ccny.cuny.edu/csom/bsmd when you scroll down to requirements.

Idk I got into another BSMD but the GPA I have to keep is high, so I’m probably gonna go to that and I’m not too upset, but I’m gonna have to work pretty damn hard, but anything for medicine

@amaraenth I don’t see it, it is all about BSMD for hs seniors .I have looked top-down and at several tabs, found nothing. Please take me to that link or tab. Thanks much.

@SD2026 There’s no separate application period for transfer students - they apply at the same time with the same deadlines and requirements as high school seniors. The only thing that’s different is that they also have to submit their college transcript.

wow. any of u guys got into nyit’s combined program and thinking of goin there?
