Sophmore Schedule

We have to schedule soon for my school, so I am some ideas on what I want to schedule, but not sure which specific schedule to pick. I am mainly debating on the elective.
Honors Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry
Chemistry 1
Chemistry 2
Environmental Science
Honors English 10
Honors US History 3
Elective (Journalism, A.P. Statistics, Physics)
Gym (Cyber)
Band

My choices are between journalism, AP statistics, or physics.

Journalism - it seems like a cool class but I’m not sure. I kind of want to try it out to see if I enjoy writing.
AP Stats - I get rid of one of my math credits, and my gpa will raise a bit. The only problem is that I already plan on taking Honors Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry (it’s one class and I heard it is super difficult)…that being said, I don’t want to overwhelm myself with math classes.
Physics - I know I’m taking 3 other science classes, but I really enjoy science and want to go into science when I get to college. I want to try physics at one point and maybe even take AP physics junior year if I like it.

Which class should my schedule have? Thanks

Foreign language.

You shouldn’t “get rid of a math credit” since selective colleges expect you take a math class every year.
You also need English and social science /history every year, one of bio/chem/physics or an AP, and foreign language through level 4.

Are those semester courses?

Before you can take an elective you need all your core courses - ie, Foreign Language.

Take AP Environmental Science. I don’t know about your school but at my school, the AP class is considered a joke and the regular class is even easier.

What do you think you want to major in when in college?

If you are doing Chem and Env Science, I woudl not add a 3rd Science. Wait until next year to take Physics.
You are advanced in Math…and as someone said, you need to take Math next year. If you think your major would involve Stats you could take that, but I would wait.
So Journalism might be a good idea…but there could be tons of others like Photography or whatever.
