So I took a practice test last friday (as a sophomore) and I got a 29 overall. 29-27-32-26, I didn't study at all, hence the math score, and for the science, I was just too tired to focus, anyway, excuses....

I'm really kind of neutral towards my 29, but hey, it's good practice I guess.
Since not that many sophomores take the ACT, I'm not sure how well I did. I know 29 is above average, but that's not very helpful I guess. I dunno. What do you think I can expect as a junior/senior after studying? What is a good score for a sophomore? Feel free to post your own scores as a sophomore and then your final.

I’m not sure. Took it this April as a sophomore and received a 30 (29-31-28-31). Hopefully when I take it this December or February I’ll be in the 34-35 range. I wonder which of the two would be better to take? I’ll find out soon. Back to the point, if you got a 29 sophomore year, then if you study decently and take a few challenging classes that make you think, then you should be able to improve at least 2-3 points. I had a friend score a 28 sophomore year, 33 junior with no studying so good luck.

Thanks, yeah I’m hoping to get a 33 or above, anyone else?

You have plenty of time to study. I think you can achieve a 33 or higher.

Thanks, yeah I didn’t study anything, for the 29, the earliest I would possible start is next summer.

I remember getting a 22 as a sophomore. Don’t sweat it.

I gave up on the ACT and took SAT I&II instead.

A 29 is a great starting point! I had a 32 as a sophomore, then a 35 junior year without studying. The difference was ap science courses for me- I will never again be confused by the wording of the experiments!

And on the SAT 1? #being persistent #putting hashtags on collegconfidential

CR-780 M-720 W-790. I really had trouble with the ACT. I guess I just didn’t “click” with it.

Cool, I’ve taken the PSAT and once I get those scores back I’ll probably develop a preference I guess.

Same with me, the ACT and I just didn’t work, so it was SAT for me.

Yeah, the science section was pure torture. ><

I thought the science section would be really easy, I mean the answers are right in front of you,but at that point I was too tired to focus and actually read all of the experiments.

and what school did you go to?
