Sophomore applying to Brown after HS

Hi!
I am a sophomore at HS and I’m currently thinking about applying to Brown after I finish High School. Since Brown is one of the Ivy League schools, I was wondering if I have any chance or do I have to start thinking more seriously about UK schools which, as I have heard, like IB program students more.
So - my stats and questions:
SAT I - 2050, but I will retake after a while when I get a better hang of the vocabulary. Math was 800. SAT II - planning to take Math Level II, Chemistry, Literature, World History and maybe French. I’m sure about the first four, French is really a maybe.
Next year I will be an IB student. Does Brown care?
EC’s - Red Cross volunteer work at children’s hospital since the start of my sophomore year; martial arts since 10th grade; blogging; writing (have won a few contests but nothing national yet. But I will do my best); yoga. I’m going to participate in Student Council next year, run a few half-marathons and marathon (not sure than counts but I love running) and basically use my 24 hours for the best. About competitions - Math Olympiade awaits and next year I will try Chemistry, too.
Additional - I study in the best school in my country which requires an entrance examination. GPA around 3.8 or so the calculator says, I have always been in the top 15th percent of my class. I have to study about 13 subject and sports lesson kind of hurt my GPA.
And how does that fact that I’m an international affects my chances? Does it?

Thank you for reading this! I would be very happy if you left a response with your thoughts about this :)

There’s a grip of IBers at Brown. Don’t worry about THAT being the thing that holds you back.

The IB is the best standardized high school diploma program in the world; like chsowlflax said, don’t worry about that being an issue. Yes, UK unis have taken to salivating over IB students because they’re actually (gasp!) well-rounded and steeped in their HL subjects, but you should only be looking to the UK if you want to go to school there (and if you’re willing to deal with acceptances that are conditional on your final IB score).

My guess is that your grades and scores are going to need to be a bit higher and that would be the priority. If I am correct and you’re a female, it also wouldn’t hurt if you were a serious candidate for cross country track.(I think Brown has a cross country team?) If you have good times for distance running, a female athlete candidate has a definite advantage in most US schools!
