I have been looking into CSF and I really like their liberal arts point of view. But I saw that their MT program had a “Sophomore evaluation”. Does that mean you can get cut from their program your sophomore year? Is there a chance of it, or does it just mean that you get “tested” on what you have learned?

I had my sophomore eval this year as a transfer student, and the answer to your question is yes, and no. They cannot keep you from being a theatre major, but they can deny you your BFA. You then must pursue a BA in Theatre with a minor in anything outside of the theatre department. My friend who's graduating this year didn't get her BFA in Musical Theatre so she pursued a minor in music which was really beneficial to her. It is also possible now to get your BFA and have a minor which is what I'm doing. I'm a musical theatre major with an english lit. minor. I hope this was helpful!
