I’m a current sophomore and I registered today. My roommate doesn’t register until Friday…I haven’t heard of anyone later than that so far.

Could I take A202 before A201? The A201 classes are filling up fast and the times are horrible so I’d rather take A202 if possible. I see that A100 is the only prereq for 202, but was wondering if there was a downside to taking 202 first.

The waitlist for the 11:15 am section is only six people. You could probably get in from a waitlist that small if you get on the waitlist ASAP. If you don’t have a lot of credits relative to other students needing the same classes as you at Kelley, you are always going to get the worst time slots and/or the least desirable profs. Students who come in with a lot of AP credit or take summer cc credits to move up in the registration order have an advantage over people who don’t have the credits, and that advantage repeats itself every registration cycle.

It is not a good idea to take A202 first, if only because just about everyone in it will have taken A201 and be better prepared than someone who hasn’t taken A201, which will make it harder to get a good grade.

I don’t register until Tuesday. If I have to take it at 10 or even 9, I guess I will. And all the Thursday discussions are filling up too. I haven’t even walked into A201 yet and I already hate it.

I am confused. The 9:05AM A201 class has 89 available and one waitlist. Does it mean that the class is full with 89 students in and one on the waiting list?

No that means there are 89 spots available with one on the waitlist. You can be on the waitlist even if the class is open.

Why people want to be on waiting list then if the class is still open? why not just register for it? I am puzzled.
