Fall Schedule Advice

hey, so i came with this schedule for fall 2012 for IU Bloomington, and would just like some feedback on what people think.

Bus-k 201(The Computer in Business)
Bus-c 104(Business Presentations0
Math-m 118(Finite Math)
Bus-a 100(Basic Accounting Skills)

I am trying to to find the best schedule to help me transfer into Kelley, and I am also hoping to finish all the pre req icore classes so that next summer i can study abroad,
thanks for all the help

Are you an incoming sophomore transfer? It looks like a fine schedule, but is there a reason you are only taking 13 credits? I’d also highly recommend Byron Craig for C-104.

I think that’s a good schedule but I think you need another class since the minimum amount of credits to take is 12. I would say take out K201 and try to take it next semester and add two more gen eds for an easier semester.

Hkem123,Yes Im a OOS sophomore transfer from Miami, Florida. and as of right now those are my prereq icore classes i need to fulfill the most of the requirements to transfer into Kelley , what else would you recommend i take, i just wanna try to make a schedule that would give me the best chance of getting into Kelley, I am hoping to apply by spring, or would it be possible to apply in the fall, if i am able to take the classes listed above. hkem123, really appreciate the help.

I’m 99% sure that schedule will allow you to apply in Fall because it fulfills all the requirements (assuming you have 26 hours of college coursework).
Another I-Core prerequisite I’d recommend taking BUS-X 220. The newly designed version has a lot more work, but it is still solely attendance/completion based. Almost every single person who takes it gets an A+/A, and taking it this semester will get you closer to I-core.

Also, do you understand that most Kelley study abroad programs require I-core to have been completed? Unless your transferring in a ton of business classes, that isn’t going to happen by Summer 2013.

yes, when i transfer in i will have about 40 credits. Thanks I will look into Bus-x 220, and wow really i thought it said that if you are registered for i core classes for your junior year, but i prob read it wrong. I was hoping to study abroad at the London school of economics, so i could use that as experience rather than try and get a internship at the end of this school year. What are you majoring in?

You’re right actually. The LSE study abroad only requires all the I-core prerequisites + E202 to be completed. I’m majoring in finance, accounting, and maybe economic consulting.

oh ok so their is still a chance, yea im planning on majoring in both finance and accounting, and may international business. Just gotta transfer into Kelley first. Are you planning to get an internship or study abroad?

I’ve considered the LSE study abroad, but I think i’m going to try to get an internship.

oh wow, so what kind of internship are you looking for, are you looking at a future in IBanking?

hkem123, My flight arrives at ind airport on june 14th at about 10:30pm, is that an Ok arrival time, if my orientation is scheduled for 8:00am on June 15th.

I don’t see why not

cool, appreciate the help.
