Hi everyone. I was wondering how rigorous IB Physics 1 is. I am a sophomore who is thinking it along with Chemistry (2 sciences), but I was wondering if it would be too much. I am currently in Pre-IB Geometry, and am planning to take Honors Algebra II over the summer and enroll in IB Math SL 1 next year. And another question, for IB Physics, do you need to have already finished Algebra II, or can you be taking it simultaneously with Physics? Thanks in advance,

bump… c’mon can someone give me some pointers??? Thanks

Hi. I’m in a full IB school and for me at least IB Phsics is quite a challenging subject, one which requires alot of critical thinking and previous knowledge. However your success in IB Physics also depends on the quality of the teacher which in my case I’m unlucky with therefore I have to take alot of help from other sources, something with which I’m not always succesful. Overall if you enjoy physics as a subject I would say go for it for now as you can also drop it within the first month or so of IB if you’re finding it very hard.
