I'm taking Biology and Chemistry as highers next year, but apparently universities prefer Physics because it shows "we're willing to work hard"?

I'm taking History as a higher too, and maths at standard, although I am pretty good at maths, I don't think I would be able to get a good level in higher.

What are your opinions, for those who did IB?

Well I’m in IB right now and my counselor recommended I take Physics HL if I was going the medical route too. I heard the Physics HL exam is wicked hard though, our IB Physics teacher says he doesn’t even think he’d recommend it for a lot of people who took Pre-IB physics their sophomore year unless they’re a strong student and exceptionally good at maths. So really I guess you should HL in whatever you’re strongest in.

I’m taking Physics IB and Biology IB next year and from there I’m going to decide which one I want to HL in. I’m probably going to SL in Chemistry my senior year. (I asked the IB Chemistry and Biology teachers about this and they thought it was a good idea–so did the counselor).

My counselor is also asking colleges about the way they view the IB students who weren’t able to HL in Physics because they didn’t take Pre-IB Physics as sophomores. If you want me to I’ll tell you what she says once she finds out.

Yeah from what I’ve researched, universities will not really care which sciences you do but almost always prefer at least 2. However I’m doing Physics HL and having a hard time with it so I was also wondering how colleges actually view those who don’t do it.
Thus lilmems can you please tell us what your counselor said?
