I am currently a sophomore in a public school that is considered the best in my school district. However, I am not doing that great this year. I am taking all honors academics classes and last semester i had a 3.43 UW GPA (3.71 weighted GPA). This semester isn't going too stellar either, but it's not over yet and I am trying to aim for a 4.00 weighted GPA. Next year I am taking four AP's and two honors. If i step it up next year, will I have a high chance of admittance into top tier colleges?

Theres just so many other factors for top tier colleges that the grades, although should be a 4.0 to be the most competitive, it is not going to determined acceptance or not. But if it was completely based on GPA, I’d say get your unweighted up to a 3.7 if you can
