we're going to have to start applying for classes soon. what do you guys think of this schedule? will the workload be bad? will it look good for colleges?

AP Euro
AP Psych
Hon. Alg. II/Trig (I took this in 8th grade but got no credit :/ )
Hon. English 10
Chemistry (no Honors chem is offered at my school)
French II
Math Seminar (math team class)
Swimming

I'm doing French and Swimming for graduation requirements (though I'll probably do French through AP). My parents may not let me take AP Euro because they think the teacher is immoral. BTW this year I'm in all honors academics (WH, Bio, Geometry, English 9), math seminar, french, swimming and art (again for required) and I have all A+'s.

Workload doesn’t look too bad, but you take Alg. II in 8th grade and you’re retaking it in 10th? What did you take in 9th? And unless your school is different, isn’t AP French usually French VI?

I have the same question; what’s up with your math? What did you take 9th?

In 7th grade, instead of Pre-Algebra as most of the advanced students took, I was moved up to Algebra I (an 8th grade advanced/9th grade regular class here). The next was supposed to be, of course, geometry, but I was in 8th grade and my school didn’t offer it. I would have to go to the high school that my middle school feeds into and that wasn’t possible for transportation reasons. My Algebra I teacher said I could get an Algebra II/Trig textbook and teach myself that with her guidance since the Hon. Al II/Trig course at our high school is killer and has like 2 A’s out of 60. Unfortunately, though I got through nearly the entire book and had an average of 95 without doing any homework, it doesn’t count for credit. I still hadn’t taken geometry (and not officially Al. II/Trig) so now (in 9th grade) I’m in geometry.

AP French is French IV. There’s no foreign languages offered in middle school so it doesnt go higher than IV. I’m considering dropping it after II (required) and doing AP Chem then AP Bio, or something.

I forgot to mention, this is the toughest courseload possible. I’m also already self-teaching Chemistry from an awesome Barrons book.
