Sorority reputations at Emory

I’m attending Emory in the fall and though I never planned on joining a sorority, it seems that Greek life is relatively popular on campus and might be a great way to make friends. Honest opinions of Emory Greek life would be greatly appreciated, as would descriptions of what reputation each sorority has/ what kind of people I could expect to meet in each sorority (generally speaking.) thanks in advance!!!

Emory has deferred recruitment for freshmen; recruitment takes place in January, so you will have the fall semester to get to know all seven (soon to be eight) NPC groups at Emory. The Emory Panhellenic will sponsor lots of “meet the Greeks” type of events in the Fall semester. All the sororities offer a great, lifelong experience. Don’t rely on an anonymous message board – meet the women at Panhel events, classes or clubs in the fall and enjoy formal recruitment in January.
