Sort of weird question...

I am just a Stanford guy I guess.

Or maybe a Stanford dude.

at Smith we're Smithies...

and about the 7 sisters/no mascot thing--Smith techinically has the "pioneer woman" as their mascot, but there isn't someone who dresses up in petticoats and a big foam head and jumps on a trampoline or anything. although, i think it might liven up our sporting events a bit!

rumor has it we used to be the Virgins, and after that the Unicorns...but I think those are just urban legends.

Brown - Brunonians, not Brownies

cornell- cornellians, sigh so regal and romantic

Hah, jus like the guy from Thumbellina. :p. So errrhhhh.... i m hopin someone can tell me what mit people are.

isn't MIT beavers?

Wellesley does actually have a mascot: Wellesley Blue. Not much of a mascot, but Harvard's mascot is the Crimson.

Wellesley students are called Wellesley Girls/Women.

some people say wakies (usually girls since it sounds cute) or deacs (short for demon deacons).

Mount Holyoke's mascot is named "paws" because we're the Lyons (as in Mary Lyon). As a nickname we're called MoHos..Go Lyons!

MIT or any tech school for that matter?
Caltech?

We're the Illini? I believe that's right.

carnegie mellon students are Tartans - that's the official mascot - yes, a piece of plaid cloth. They've managed to associate a Scotty dog with it, but they're still Tartans.

Supposedly, Andrew Carnegie sent back to his native Scotland and commissioned a special plaid to be created for his new project - the Carnegie Institute of Technology.

Franklin and Marshall are called dips (short for diplomats)
MIT - Nerds; Beavers sounds so much better
Columbia - The Lions I guess.
Penn - Quakers
Cornell - Cornellians
Dartmouth - Greenies?
Yale - Yalies
Princeton - Princetonites (as a friend calls himself) or Tigers
Brown - Dunno...we call them hippies.
Harvard - Sir and/or Boss
CalTech - Geeks; currently suing MIT for the rights to 'Nerds'
Stanford - THE CARDINAL: One unified, laid back, surfer-athlete collective; or the 'trees'
Duke - Dookies
Northwestern - Wildcats (I only know one kid there and that's what he calls himself)

ah, the joys of going to UVA; we're wahoos or, for short, hoos.

LOL
