SOS Transfer Decision Help!

I attended TCU for my freshman year and didn't exactly love it, so I looked into transferring. I am also a mechanical engineering student, and their program is not the best. I applied to UT and A&M for fall transfer. I was accepted into UT mechanical engineering, but A&M required more prerequisites, which I had not satisfied, so I would have to start with industrial engineering and switch to mechanical in the spring. At both schools there are classes I would have to catch up on, maybe a few more at A&M but I think they have the better program. I have friends at both schools. I am also in a sorority and know more people in that sorority at A&M. A&M would be the easier transition, but I am hesitant of if that is the right thing to do. UT is definitely more exciting, but Austin is a little intimidating.
I am just looking for some outside insight and hoping someone can give me some advice!!
Oh and did I mention I have 4 days to make the decision... SOS!!!!!

It sounds like you really would feel more comfortable at A&M. If you can afford that then go there.

I don’t think you can go wrong with engineering at A&M. Feeling comfortable should help with grades as well. Just be sure to check that with whatever requirements you have to do/make up will still allow you to graduate in the same amount of time.

UT is a big move! If you have friends at A&M and the program is just as good (or close to it) then go there! Less stress, less mess, more success.
