South Campus Dorms

Hey all,

As a sophomore, I’ll be living in one of the dorm-style buildings in South (44 Buswell Street). When I signed up for it I expected a brownstone, but the buildings on one side of Buswell are different than brownstones. I’m talking about the 5-story brick ones that are connected by black walkways with railings.

Does anyone know what they look like on the inside? I have a single, but are there doubles or suites in there too? Are the rooms decent? I know I do not have a private bathroom, but what is the bathroom situation for these?

If anyone could share any information, that would be great. Thanks guys!

I don’t know what 44 Buswell looks like exactly but a friend of mine lived in 48 last year and another lived in 33. Anyway, the singles vary in size. My friend from 48 had a tiny room. There are doubles and triples and quads in south. There are also suites if you live in an apartment building. Rooms are pretty decent, just don’t leave pizza under your bed for days or food around, you’ll get cockroaches (this happened to a friend of mine). Bathrooms aren’t that bad to deal with, you just might have to race with people sometimes in busy hours like the morning since there’s usually only one bathroom per floor/hallway (not a community one either). I’d suggest showering at a time when no one is rushing to go to class like at night.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
