My S2 - 2020 wants to head south for school! We live in the Northeast and although we have fab schools here he wants to enjoy a few warm(er) winters and a little different culture. He really wants Virginia, Tennessee, SC, or NC. He is looking at either Business or a health related field.
His stats:
1380SAT
3.5 UW, all honors
athlete (basketball and lacrosse)
EMT cadet - our school is one of two in the state that has the opportunity for selected students to go through the state EMT class (at night for a school year while they take their regular school studies as well). Once they pass the EMT test they go on actual life/death calls with the local town ambulance, taking turns being on-call with a pager M-F 7-5 during the school year.
We are well acquainted with schools North of PA as we just went through it with our older child who is now enjoying his college experience.
Thank you for any suggestions - he is hoping for a school with more than 4000 kids - large is fine.
