How do you suggest forming a class schedule for college?
Do you leave a break after every class, or get all of them over with and study for the rest of the day?

The idea of getting classes done early and then studying the rest of the day sounds nice in theory, but in reality for most college students I think this rarely happens (the studying, I mean). But if you’re really diligent about it it’s possible.

As far as breaks, I think it depends on a few things. It can be really annoying if you have breaks but they are too short and/or the buildings are too far away from your dorm to go back to it in between, and you end up having 3-4 classes spaced out a little but you’re stuck away from your dorm or walking around campus the whole time. Some buildings can be a 20-25 minute walk alone from each other. Instead it’s probably better to have a class or two back to back, then a break to eat lunch, then your last classes back to back. (or even better, just 1 class on a certain day - it’s possible!)

But longer breaks can be really nice too, whether it be to take a nap, finish homework, get some extra studying in before the next class if there’s a quiz, eat lunch with a friend without needing to rush, or just have some quiet down time in your room. When I have 3 classes in a day I like to have one in the morning, then have a 2-2.5 hour break for whatever, then have my last 2 pretty close to each other. But it really depends on each person. Most likely freshman year your M/W/F and Tu/Th schedules will be different, and might offer you different approaches. Then you can see which you like best.

Thanks! I will try to finish classes early, and arrange them in pairs
