Spanish 4 vs. APUSH

I'm a junior in California thinking about applying to UCB and Stanford early action (might as well try). I plan to apply to safeties and other UCs, but these would be the most difficult to get into.

My school is on a block schedule (4 fall and 4 spring classes), and I might need to choose between Spanish 4 and APUSH in the spring if I can't take Spanish this summer. This Spanish class also counts for college credit, but no AP test is required.

I'm leaning towards history or other humanities major. Would it be best to take the APUSH + college level Euro since it's more challenging/history oriented, or take Spanish 4 to complete the foreign language curriculum and just take (not AP) Euro along with that?

Thanks! And of course I won't base my decision only on what I see here.

I think if your interest is in History then take APUSH.
This is a hard choice because colleges also like it better if you take a language all through high school because it shows dedication and commitment.
