with a hopeful/projected 1350 SAT at retake... do i have the chance at any prestigious colleges? is URM+CS a hook?

if all that **** is true, and you are Hispanic, the sky is the limit. shoot for HYP.

uh... no,not really... HYPS too far a reach, our sal this year was dominican, and our val last year cuban, both are UFies... call it a florida thing with bright futures, and UF will def be on my safe list, but i wanna short for an out-of-state school... pomona is a dream, so are other claremont schools... but their avg SAT is like... up there... lol... im looking for an LAC that's prestigous, yet attainable... and yes... all that "****" is true... lol

SAT is too low for HYP, even for a URM. With a 1350 some of the lower Ivies may be reasonable, and w/ a 1400 it's worth applying to HYP. It'd be tough to be too confident at the lower Ivies w/o a ~1450 and w/o a ~1520 for HYP.

uh... does it look like im ivy-material?..... no... lol, im thinking more like top liberal arts colleges... like pomona... or other claremont colleges...

Pomona isn't that much less selective the lower Ivies. With a 1350, you'd be competitive at Pomona and have a great shot at the other Claremonts.

are the following schools (top 10 LAC) doable with URM, hundreds of CS, okay EC,great teacher/counselor recs, 3rd or val/sal (seperated but hundreths, outta 600), but 1340-1360 SAT?

1 Williams College (MA)
2 Amherst College (MA)
3 Swarthmore College (PA)
4 Wellesley College (MA)
5 Carleton College (MN)
6 Bowdoin College (ME)
6 Pomona College (CA)
8 Haverford College (PA)
8 Middlebury College (VT)
10 Claremont McKenna College (CA)
10 Davidson College (NC)

heh, i just bought that USNews premium thing... pretty interesting... anyone else find it helpful?

argh!!! apparently the title doesnt work... ive got a q... is bring an URM, first one to go to college in the US (mom started in honduras, but stopped to come here.... dad didnt finish HS) thrown out by the 98/99/100k income?

what is it about me that makes my threads undesireable?... sure many read them, but only like 2 people actually responded.... oy vey...
