spanish minor, 2nd year pre-med

Hi everyone

I'm trying to figure out my coursework for the next two years...If I do a spanish minor, I will have to take 4 courses every quarter from now on to complete major and minor requirements..

I'm wondering..does anyone have first hand experience with how great the spanish minor looks for med schools? I know Spanish is recommended for UCLA med school and generally most Cali schools..but has it come up in interviews, how favorably is the skill looked upon?

thanks..oh and I am interested in Spanish culture, etc..not just thinking of doing it for med school..but whether or not i ultimately do the minor does depend on both factors

thanks again

well it obviously won’t look bad and its fine if you have interests outside of science. if you really like Spanish culture and want to go in depth then do the minor…med school should have nothing to do with the decision. (unless the extra classes hurt your gpa)

If you’re doing it just to look good for med school…I’d rather focus on something i’m more passionate about.
