Spanish Minor Myth???

<p>Does anyone know if Rice really does offer a Spanish minor?? I know there was one in the works (there's a Thresher article from Feb 2008 about it) but from what I can tell so far the department is just offering a single or double major path, not a minor.</p>

<p>The Hispanic Studies dept webpage is a piece of crap, so do any of you current Rice students know if there is indeed a minor now??</p>

<p>Nevermind, I found the answer in the Minutes of the Faculty Senate Meeting from Nov 2008. The proposal for a Spanish minor was rejected by the Committee on the Undergraduate Curriculum. Boooo.</p>
