I am debating between taking these two subjects test this coming May. I am currently a junior and am enrolled in Spanish AP and AP eng Lang. I most likely plan on majoring in math/science type (I plan on taking Math II and chemistry) as well as one of these two, spanish or literature.
My first question is as to difficulty. I am NOT a spanish speaker; this is my fourth year studying spanish. As to lit background, I have nothing extremely apparent to say besides the fact that I have a great interest in english/writing and my SAT I CR is typically in the low 700s. I have yet to look at the spanish tests or the literature tests. I know I just should probably check them out before making a decision but I would like some feedback before I immerse myself. Which one is typically tougher to score high on? Based on different aspects of each test?
Second question is which one of the two, assuming I scored equal scores on both(hopefully in the 700s), would look better to colleges for someone aiming for math/science?
Any feedback at all regarding this topic is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Literature has the lowest average score of any SAT II. I took it in January and it’s pretty difficult, so I would recommend doing a bunch of practice tests beforehand.
With Spanish, it depends on how comfortable you are reading and answering multiple choice questions. The curve on this test favors all the native speakers who take it. But, if you have a good backbone in reading and grammar, scoring in the 700’s should be doable. If you’re willing to wait until November, try the Spanish w/Listening test. The listening section is easy and can boost your score.
