Spanish Placement Exam

I've only taken 2 years of spanish at my high school, and that was freshman and sophomore year. Whats a good website to review? I dont have past notes/review materials from high school.

Haha I still have all these saved from when I was prepping for the placement test:

I only took 2 years just like you and I hadn’t reviewed any Spanish for about 2-3 years before taking the placement test. Honestly, no amount of reviewing could have helped place me into a higher class. In my opinion the placement test was pretty hard if you barely took Spanish (not to mention that was a long time ago) and are not a native Spanish speaker. A lot of stuff was grammar and context and the listening part was pretty fast paced. Yup, that’s just my experience! I’ll be taking intro to Spanish this coming year

Im a biological sci major, whats the best time to take spanish? I have a feeling I’ll be just start spanish from the very beg. so that would mean 1 whole year of spanish.

So am I  It’s kind of hard to say…that depends I guess. Do you have an idea of what classes you might take your freshman year? Obviously you’ll have to take chem and bio the entire year, but that leaves you some room to pick a class or two each quarter. You’ll probably take writing (how many quarters depends on which writing class you’re placed in).

I’ll be taking Spanish the entire year my junior year, which is pretty late in the game, but it has turned out to work out pretty well. As you finish your bio core and general eduction, it gets kind of hard to find upper division classes since they fill up so fast. Spanish became a save for me since you need 12 units to be a full time student, and Spanish guaranteed me at least one class the entire year. So if you wanna go that route I’d say it’s working well for me. Otherwise, I’d recommend taking it your freshman year because sophomore year is a killer for most people since you have to take molecular biology, biochemistry and organic chemistry.

I’m about to take the College Spanish placement test. Does anyone have advice on certain items that will be on the test that I should study?
