Spanish Requirement at Community College

So I just finished Spanish 2 at UCLA and was wondering if I could take the equivalent of Spanish 3 online at a Community College. I have looked at several options and they all say that they have UC transferable credits.

Would this satisfy the UCLA Foreign Language requirement?

/Also, this is the last class I need at UCLA. I just graduated in June and I put my degree of expected graduation as Summer 2010. If I took Spanish 3 online during the Fall, would I have to change my graduation to Fall 2010/Winter 2011? I looked on the UCLA Counseling website and it said that I'd have to graduate in absentia (since I will not be taking classes at UCLA in the Fall).

Sorry about the complicated/convuluted question. It has been so frustrating that this is the last class I need!

hey mike, im in the same boat, did you ever get an answer to this?

Not sure about the graduation issue, but I believe as long as you get course credit for Spanish 3 and meet the grading requirement (C or better or pass) you should be able to satisfy the Foreign Language requirement by transferring in a course. Check with your college counselor to make sure though.

UCLA has a non-current enrollment clause in URSA. I imagine this is to prevent overachievers from taking like 60 units a quarter at UCLA and finishing in less than a year. Anyway, it says you cant take classes at any other CC while you take classes at UCLA. So i think as long as you take it while you’re not actively taking classes at UCLA, you should be fine.
