Spanish w/o listening

Is it a lot less impressive to take spanish without listening rather than spanish with listening? The reason i'm asking is because listening is only offered once, in November, and since i'm taking AP Spanish next year, i figure i'll be more prepared for the test in may or june. Would it make a big difference to schools like Barnard, Wesleyan, and Brandeis?

I'm sure it won't be the deciding factor on your admission, but I don't really know what to say. What I do know is that the average score on the listening test is higher than the one without, as opposite as that sounds to me anyway.

No, i completely understand that. I find the listening portion to be ridiculously easy. But i really wanted more time to study for the rest.
