I'm just curious...now that you're into Cornell...and especially now during finals week...why spend so much time on this board? While I'm also a Cornell student and I check it every once in a while, you seem to be on here extremely often and I just wonder what the point is.

Oh but please don't stop! I think it's really nice of you to devote so much time guiding panicked cornell hopefuls through the application process. I'm super grateful to you =). Thank you!!!

I'm in no way asking him to stop...I'm just curious.

$20 says procrastination! I spend alot of time on the boards because i do alot of work on the computer and need something to distract me. It's better than shopping online.

As one of sparticus' hallmates, I can answer that for him. He knows how much the site has helped him in the past and he wants to keep that up. But yea, it is also part procrastination.

thanks shai... hahaha you've been around a long time for a "new memeber"

I post a lot here, but it doesn't actually take up that much time. And I'm doing fine on my finals--i've been pretty much as prepared as I could be. I post here for the most part because I want to help out, like adamimos said. The site is very useful, and I know a lot about cornell and the college application process that is helpful. Without people who know things, the site is just all questions. It is somewhat of a let down, however, to answer so many questions, and recieve very few helpful answers in the rare case I have a question.

Definitely part procrastination. Right now I'm writing my final essay for tonal theory--it's due at 7:00PM good thing it's 90% done.

Ya if I get in I will definitely come back periodically to help other kids who are going through the process. Accepted/Rejected this site has helped me a great deal with my application and my decision to apply to Cornell. It has certainly been a roller coaster with the early release of decisions and all, but even before I get my decision I would like to say thanks to Sparticus, Spanks, Gomestar, and anyone else who might have helped and had some words of wisdom. Whether it was procrastination or what not we all appreciate you taking the time to help us out when possible. Best of luck to all ED APPLICANTS we're almost there just one more stressed filled day at school.

Let me also add one more thing. Unlike in high school where you're in classes all day and only have a few hours of free time at night, in college, you have so much time that isn't occupied by anything. I'm taking 18 credits right now and almost every day I have like 3-4 hours of time that I'm not studying or doing homework or whatever...just time I can spend doing whatever. CC only takes a few minutes of that time, so its not really that big of a deal. But mostly it is procrastination....

Aye Aye. I second HotelschoolCornell. All of the Cornell students have helped me out tremendously. They relieved my anxiety throughout the application process. Sparticus even helped me when I thought I made a mistake by clicking the link. I would whole-heartedly stand up and claim, "I AM SPARTICUS!!!"

I just go on here habitually, it's disgusting. Facebook, email, cc, I should go study. Finals aren't as bad as I thought they'd be, though.

Lol. "No, I am Sparticus!"

I wonder how many people have seen the movie. Though I believe the historical person was spelled with two A's.

yes, spartacus, i.e. from sparta in greece.
