Has anyone heard from SPEA about direct admission? If you have, what was the result and what were your stats? I have a 1200 SAT and a 3.8 GPA, wondering what my chances are.
Do you mean Direct admission to SPEA or the direct admit scholarship?
Just direct admission
My son was a direct admit. He had a 3.9 Unweighted and a 32 ACT composite which is equivalent to a 1470. Lots of AP classes.
DD (NMF / 1600 SAT / 36 ACT / 4.0 UW / 8xAP 5s / exc recs / 3 yr letter winner on national top 5-15 CC team plus other EC’s) was directly admitted to SPEA.

@hoosierindiana Not sure how SPEA DA works but don’t they have the requirements for consideration on the website? If their DA follows some of the others, if you have the posted requirements then you are probably in. If not, then you might have to petition if you are close.
The requirements are above a 3.5 and a 1290 SAT. So I’m assuming I’ll need to petition, but just how close is “close”? Has anyone else petitioned to SPEA?
So you’re there on the GPA but 90 points shy on the SAT. I’d petition, the worst they are going to do is say no. Assuming they accept petition’s for DA into SPEA.
