Does Cornell allow you to have an electric teapot in your dorm room? I drink a LOT of tea and it would be good to know if I'll be able to keep that up in college. Not that it's a deal breaker, but it'd be nice to compile a list of schools that allow them and don't. Thanks a bunch!

Pretty sure you can keep it in the kitchen.

Lol “compile a list of schools that allow them.” Sounds like you take your tea seriously :D

+1 on knowing these things, and hey, a list would be nice! lol
But seriously, I think it depends per dorm, not so much by school…I know in Cornell’s case, there are tons of dorms all over campus (and some are “themed” dorms, like the ecology dorm I stayed at, which allows pets BTW), and I’m 99 percent sure that different dorms allow for different rules (and this goes for all schools).

@TypeRA that’s spectacular that the ecology dorm allows pets!! That pretty much makes my life:)

So funny. I have an English friend who visited her kid at a college in upstate New York and was distraught because she couldn’t find a cup of tea.
