Special case : 1 ap class for junior year

So, I came from Egypt right before my junior year … I had my grades with me … I had a 3.89 gpa for the classes Ive taken in Egypt (freshmen and sphomore year) I decided to take only one ap class( ap bio) because I had to adapt first on the American educational system, but then I figured out that I should’ve taken more than one (three or four maybe) but it was too late … I took the sat and had 1350 and I am planning to take it again … I’m aiming for 1400 … I am not planning to get into any ivy leagues … my dream school is university of washington seattle (since I live there) … for Ecs I am gonna play soccer, I’m volunteering in a hospital and I will be doing internship in a research institute over the summer. I’m a little worried that uw is gonna think I am not college ready because of my junior clsses … I got 3.9 in the first semster and my hardest classes are Pre calculus and Ap bio … the rest are normal classes like english literature and U.S history (I got As in all the classes except P.E lol). I am planning to take at least 4 ap classes next year but of course they won’t see my grades at the admission decisions … Do you think They’re gonna understand my situation ?

I think you will be fine as long as you are not applying to ultra-competitive majors like CS

In addition to your last statement(4aps next year), colleges will see your senior course load.

Even if you were applying to very competitive schools, the schools evaluate your credentials in light of your situation. So the fact that you did not have APs available before and that you were prudent in terms of course selection to allow you to acclimate to a new system won’t be held against you. People on this site seem to think colleges are lookig for students who have piled on as many APs as possible. They are simply wrong.

That was relieving from u guys … many people here are like 10000 aps 2728648 honors … It’s just crazy … And I think I’m going to explain why my junior year classes were relatively easy in the essay

I’m choosing between Neurobiology and Biology … I’m not sure yet

You did well - and precalculus is a rigorous first class (although perhaps a repeat of what you learned last year in Egypt).
Do you have IGCSE’s or an Egyptian “Lower secondary school” diploma?
Next year, colleges WILL look at your class choices. They will see you decided to challenge yourself with AP’s (you will need to get grades of A or B in them in case you need to send a mid year report but choice of classes >grades senior year).
I would advise you try and take AP Calculus AB or BC, AP Chemistry, either an AP English or History/Humanities, and one AP of your choice.
However, if you feel very strong in Math and Science (and/or history), look into CLEP tests.
