Special letter of recommendation for UHP?

<p>I have two letters of recommendation, one from my chem teacher and one from my French teacher. I just read this on the Honors Program website
" The Honors Program application requires a set of specific essay questions and a letter of recommendation attesting to the student's writing ability "</p>

<p>How important is this? It's getting close to the deadline and I'd feel awful asking one of my teacers to write me another letter of recommendation just for this school. Will my other two letters suffice, even though they don't specifically mention my writing skills (I assume, I havent read them)?</p>

<p>...I'm not even sure I want to be a part of the honors program!</p>

I’d say they expect you do do it. Students in the Honors Program are exempt from the University writing requirement, so they want to make sure you can write well.</p>
