My HS Junior daughter received an invitation to WashU's "Special Visit Days" this summer. It appears they have theme days (engineering, business, liberal arts, etc) combined with a tour, info session and optional interview. My D is interested in this school. Is it best to go on one of these days related to her interests or just visit, take the tour and interview on a "regular" day?

Well I did the engineering day last summer, and I really enjoyed it. I felt if she knows what she wants to do that she should do that because it focuses intensely on what shes going to be doing if she goes there. However, just visiting the campus is good to because I think that was the main factor in my decision to go there. I loved it. Anyway, I think she should deffinatley visit the campus, and the special visit days wouldn't be negative at all.

Be sure to take the interview.

Current students often do they interviews, and they're really laid back. The admissions officers are crazily nice people, too.
