Hey, I’m working on my essays right now – specifically the “Why Brown?” question. I remember on the tour I was told about a specific computer science professor that did some really important early work in the field (I think at Apple). I did some research after and that and it was something that really drew me to the program there, so I want to include that in my essay, but I’m completely blanking on his name right now. I know it’s a weird question but does anyone have any idea of who I could be talking about?

Maybe this will help you remember: [Brown CS: The Faculty and Postdoctoral Researchers](http://cs.brown.edu/people/faculty/)

You are most likely referring to Andy van Dam. Guru of animation and cofounder of Brown’s computer science department.

Thats the one, thanks!
