specific Major/minor question

Hello! I'm in a dilemma here :(

I applied for the pre-pharmacy advantage program at a couple of schools (UoP, USC, etc.) which is where they admit undergrad freshmen for about 2 to 3 years (depending on the school) and then reserve a spot for them at the respective school's pharmacy program.

After a few years from receiving my pharmD, I am thinking of going into other fields of study as well. Would that require me to go back to an undergraduate program, get a bachelors, then reapply for a different graduate school?

and, how would it work if I had a minor, I'm thinking I couldn't use that to go straight to grad school, but would I be able to skip a couple of years in undergrad if i were to apply again.

I hope that wasn't too confusing. Basically, I want to continue learning after I receive my pharmD, whether it is further in the sciences or a totally different study, and wondering how exactly to do it in the least time consuming (which may still be very time consuming) manner.

Thank you!

I bet that after 6 years of college and bills, you will WANT to get a job rather than begin to study in some other area! If you want to keep on learning, you will have required continuing education credits to get for your pharmacy license and you can futher create a specialty area of knowledge within your practice.

You should check out studentdoctor.com and looking under the pre-pharmacy section forums for more information.

In regards to your question, however, the answer is that your PharmD would be sufficient to carry on most graduate degree work. For instance, a masters in public health is a popular choice for most PharmD grads and some even go onto business school to open up more prospects.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the input! :)
