Spectrum customers, ESPN is gone!

Meme of the day :joy::joy::joy:

I’m not a Spectrum fan, but it’s really the only option I have for internet in my town (I live in a small town in a semi-rural area). Our internet is always going in and out. I get a package (cable, internet, and VOIP), and if I drop cable, the price really goes up. Before Spectrum, the company we had was Charter. I think Charter merged with ?? to form Spectrum. Spectrum’s customer service is not good–it’s almost impossible to speak to a “real person.” I could go on.

We’re in the same boat. We use Spectrum for cable as well as internet and VOIP in our office. Ugh.

Noticed spectrum is offering free Fubo trial so customers can see sports. Too late. We moved to Hulu

We got the fubo trial so we could watch the Texas-Alabama game. So glad we did!

Email from Spectrum:

“Good news! We have reached a new agreement with The Walt Disney Company. ESPN, Disney Channel, FX, and several other Disney-owned channels have been returned to Spectrum TV and are now available.

To make up for your inconvenience during this time, we will be issuing you a credit in the next 48 hours for the time since the channel loss on August 31, 2023, through their return on September 11, 2023.”

It will be interesting to see how large the credit is.

I don’t have Spectrum but my mom does and she said it was $15. :flushed:

My friend called Spectrum a few days ago to complain and ask for some reimbursement. She spent time on hold and got $15 for the trouble. When I got the Spectrum message last night I thought I’ll get the same $15 but at least I didn’t waste my time on the phone.

I did chat and got $15. So that must be the default

I don’t have Spectrum but did see on the news last night that they were going to remove some channels, like Disney Jr, FXx, and a few others. Some I wouldn’t care about but some have movies Iike to watch.
