I am a junior in HS and I am considering in majoring in speech/language. Which school would be a good choice? I live in NJ and don't want to go more than 3 hours away.

A bit further than 3 hours - but University of Pittsburgh has an excellent speech pathology program.

My daughter is also interested in this field. In NJ, Seton Hall and Montclair have programs. TCNJ has a minor for undergraduates to prepare them for graduate school.
A few of the PA state schools have speech programs. I have heard that Ithaca College in NY and Loyola in MD have good programs as well.

Good luck… my daughter is majoring in education undergrad and will then go onto grad school for speech pathology.

I was always under the impression that speech pathology was more of a graduate school subject. I would just recommend going to a school with a good linguistics and psychology program.

PSU has a pretty good speech pathology school. But yeah, Pitt is better in that department. Just throwing options out.

I’m thinking about doing this career as well.
