Three months ago someone replied to my thread and told me I should continue practicing the SAT and that speed will come with practice. It did for Math- I finish in 17 minutes and writing 20 minutes but not for CR I always spend an extra 2~5 minutes. So my CR scores are actually suppose to be lower. I always race through the sentence completion with accuracy but the passages really take my time. How do I increase my speed cause when I read the questions and passage fastly, I lose accuracy and have a hard time understanding the passages.

Dont read the paragraphs the first time through…just skim them. Then attack the questions that target specific sections (“in lines 30-34 what does the author mean by blah blah”). Then read only that sections. You will find that you can answer about 70% of the reading comprehension quesitons without actuall reading the whole thing.

As to the other 30% all I can say is just keep practicing. Adjust your strategy until you feel you are maximizing your score.
