Help! I need to get faster on CR Section

I've tried many different kinds of ways to attack the CR section on this website, but they haven't helped me to get faster at answering the questions. Many of the methods require you to read through the whole passage, which is really really time consuming, and it doesn't help if ur also stuck on a question or two.

Does anyone have any good ways to practice for the CR section and get faster at it? My score seems to be actually dropping.. (according to my practice tests)

The passage based questions are extremely time consuming for me :(

Ok, first of all practice doing the sections with 5 minutes less than normal time. Also, look into ways to read the passage faster like Spreeder.

You are either slow for two reasons:

 1. Reading the passage
 2. Answering the questions

For me its a bit of both. I get stuck on like 2 questions and dwell on them for 1-2 minutes. Thts A LOT of time. So keep this rule in your head as you take the test (for all sections): every question can be solved under 1 minute. Not by some speed genius but any person can solve every question on the test under one minute. So when you do the critical reading section (i use this method for math) if you are stuck on a problem and its been 1 minute already, SKIP IT. Trust me if u dwell on 1 problem, ull leave less time to sve the other problems. Then ull start rushing and get more wrong.

Also, if u are slow answering the questions, thats a big indicator tht you are not familiar with the types of questions asked on the CR section and what methods to use to answer them. You should try doing the section untimed first, rake as much time on each question. Do this intil u hve familiarized urself with the types and questions and hie to answer them.

Take some speed.

Yours,
