Spelling Mistake.

After a month of neglecting college application stuff... I finally revisited commonapp.org & read my Why Penn short answer. To my surprise I found a mistake (really just one)! Instead of typing "the," I said "to." I must have been really distracted.
It worries me because their website says: "Please be sure to proofread your essay for spelling and grammar. No, really, we mean it. Seriously"

Is it really that big of a deal? It sucks because Penn's my top choice...

If the only problem with your application is a spelling mistake, you’ll be alright.

I don’t think it’ll be a problem.
Either way don’t worry about it. Nothing you can do.

you’ll be ok
if its just one typo it doesn’t matter

i had one of those on my commonapp dont worry youll be fine

it shows u are human which my or may not be good

i said “that” instead of “than”

im still freaking out. but i hope its okay. im sure itll be fine.

Seriously people. It’s going to be okay. We all need to take a collective deep breath and realize nothing can be done at this point.
