<p>I think right now that my life is ruined. I discovered a spelling mistake in an essay to an ivy school... I am so angry at myself since I must have read that thing at least 20 times.
Anyone else in the same situation?
Do you think that since we are international students they are more willing to overlook such things?</p>

it depends on how many mistakes you made i think. if you make alot of errors or spell a word wrong throughout the whole essay,then maybe... but if its just one or two typos/mistakes, i doubt they<code>ll reject you because of that. the content of the essay is much more important. keep in mind that adcoms read many essays, so if its some minor mistake, i doubt they</code>ll notice.</p>
<p>one word wont' matter. but it's too many they might think you don't take the essay, and therefore the admissions process, seriously.</p>

oh...yeah and follow what cevonia said. I'll lock up all of my essays, so I don't get tempted to read them again.
I guess I panicked so much because I've read in some admissions books that adcoms totally dislike typos "because they reveal sloppiness and lack of care towards the school and the application process".
after all we are all human...and hopefully in April we will be humans with a lot of fat packages.GOOD LUCK!!!</p>

taht's if onily if yuor entier essay is filled wiht typso and erorrs that makes teh mistekas so glarigng.</p>
