Okay, so this is might be kind of long-winded but basically I’m freaking out because I have no idea if all of my documents have been sent in to UMass.
I have had a lot of issues with my guidance counselor this year with college applications. I’m applying to UMass on EA and another school (which I’ll call School A for now) on ED, and a third school (School B) on EA as well. After I turned in my app for School A and received my application status check info, I logged in and realized my guidance counselor neglected to send in my ED agreement. I went to his office the very same day and told him of the issue, where he told me that he just forgot to send in my ED agreement. The next day he said after he sent it in, he called the school and everything should be fine. That was a few weeks ago. Just today I received a letter from School B, saying they never received my transcript and letter of rec, both of which are documents that my guidance counselors are responsible for sending. I know a pattern when I see one, so immediately after getting that letter I logged into Spire to make sure everything was in place. Problem is that I don’t know how to tell if everything has been uploaded, and I don’t want to send my guidance counselor another email full of baseless accusations. It doesn’t say I’m missing anything, exactly, but at this point I don’t feel too confident that my guidance counselor submitted all of the required materials…
TL;DR- The application status check on Spire says I submitted my official transcript and my ACT score. Should my letters of rec from my teacher and counselor also be appearing on the status check, or is this normal? It doesn’t say I’m missing anything, but I don’t feel 100% sure that everything was submitted. I can post screenshots to clarify if necessary.
