When I came to UT I didn't know anything about spirit groups until after I rushed for a sorority and took a bid. I know that spirit groups are sort of a time commitment, but I have a good GPA and don't have any time commitments to my sorority now that I'm not a pledge. I was wondering since I'm in a sorority can I still do a spirit group? Does anyone know if they won't accept my application or not take me seriously because of this?

Many girls in sororities are also in spirit groups. It’s very common.

I wasn’t aware of it being that common but I guess you could look into it. I’m in one of the more well known co-ed spirit groups and I know that we don’t have anyone that is also in a fraternity/sorority. It probably depends on which spirit organization you want to join though. Do you have any particular ones in mind?

I think you may have a lot of conflicts as a lot of spirit groups do the same things at the same times that your sorority would. You’d just have to ask
